International Falls Day Camp

Dear Scouting Family:

The Day Camp for International Falls will be having a new location this year.   It will be held at Jespersen’s Field, 6 miles east of town across from 2829 Hwy 11 East on the right hand side of the road, just before the bridge.  We will post signs so that you will be readily able to locate the site.    We are able to drive out into the field, and we ask that you stay in the mowed area, as they will be haying the field the following weekend.

If you plan to spend the night you will need the following items:  a tent, sleeping bag or bedroll, a flashlight, a water bottle, a change of clothes, bug spray in a non-aerosol container, suntan lotion to prevent sunburns, a hat, tennis shoes (no sandals please), raingear, a jacket, a backpack to carry items from station to station in, money for the trading post and a sack lunch for supper on Friday night.   Please arrive at 5:00 p.m. to register and to set your tent up.  Once your tent is set up, then you can eat your sack lunch and we will begin Day Camp at 6:00 p.m.   PLEASE LABEL ALL YOUR ITEMS!

If you are not spending the night, you can arrive between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to register.   Please bring a water bottle with your name on it, a sack lunch if you would like to eat supper with some of the other scouts, a backpack to carry items from station to station in, money for the trading post, bug spray in a non-aerosol container, raingear and tennis shoes (no sandals please)PLEASE LABEL ALL YOUR ITEMS!

No pocket knives are allowed at camp.   If there is a knife in the trading post and a scout wants to purchase it, a parent will need to purchase the knife and keep it in their possession the entire time that Day Camp is attended by the scout.

If you have any allergies to foods or medicines or plants and insects, please let me know as soon as possible, so that we can make sure we are prepared.
