Webelos Action Camp

Come to Webelos Action Camp for a great weekend of fun and activities.  Camp out with Webelos from around the Council.  You will learn about fire building, geology, first aid and much, much more.

Experience the wonders of camping out in a beautiful setting.  We will have a great campfire on Saturday night with songs, skits and many surprises.

Webelos Action Camp is held twice a year; in the spring and fall.

Join us for a great weekend of fun and activities at Camp Chicagami, seven miles south of Eveleth, MN.  Camp with your fellow Webelos and COOK ALL MEALS OVER YOUR CAMPFIRE. The camp staff is hard at work getting ready for a great weekend of fun.

 

Experience the wonders of camping in a beautiful setting.  Spend the night under canvas in the rugged outdoors. Enjoy and participate in the campfires on Friday (in your camp site) and Saturday (camp-wide fire) nights. Great surprises await you!

 

Remember, this camp is in early June!  Make sure you are prepared for the unpredictable weather.  Make sure you have warm clothing, just in case!

 

PROGRAM: Webelos will participate in a variety of activities.  They will learn to read a compass and to map a course, experience the wonders of camping and studying nature, learn about outdoor cooking as they help prepare all four meals, and, of course, have fun at the archery and BB gun ranges.  Plus, a variety of other activities such as forestry, first aid, fire building, knot tying, canoeing, and much, much more!  Everyone will be put in a den with a Boy Scout Den Chief available to instruct them in Scout skills and to help instill Scout spirit. Each den will do a skit or song at the Saturday campfire.

 

FEES: The registration fee for youth is $45 per youth. If your pack registers and pays before May 4, 2012 your fees will be discounted $10 per youth. The youth fee includes campsite, a patch, t-shirt and all program materials. The registration fee for adults is $10.   Adults may purchase a patch for $2 and t-shirt for $10.

 

ANNUAL HEALTH AND MEDICAL FORMS: Parts A and B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical RecordExternal Link need to be completed and turned for each Scout on Friday when your den arrives at camp. 

 

ADULT LEADERSHIP: It is recommended that there be one adult for every three Webelos attending with a minimum of two adults per pack.  If tents and other equipment are a problem, contact your neighboring Boy Scout troop.

 

NOTE:  No cars will be allowed in the campsites.  All packs and equipment must be carried in.

1. Webelos and adults complete their registration forms and turn them in to their Webelos Leader/Pack along with registration fee. Registration forms can be found below

2. Transfer information to "Pack/Webelos Den registration" form found below

3. Compile all fees and write one check from your pack payable to: Voyageurs Area Council.

4. Send "Pack/Webelos Den Registration" form, individual registration forms and check by May 4 to: Voyageurs Area Council, 3877 Stebner Road, Hermantown, MN 55811
