Patrol Leader Final Checklist

Breakfast is Tuesday, August 30, 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.

Weeks before the event:

Come to a one-hour Patrol Leader training on Wednesday, August 10, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at Scout Service Center | 3877 Stebner Rd., Hermantown.

Submit your guest list (by hand, mail e-mail or fax) to the Scout Service Center on or before Friday, August 22.

The week before the event:

Call each of your guests to reconfirm their attendance.  Go over the details with them; date, time, location, directions.  Remind them that it is a free, one-hour fund raising breakfast.  Since the event will be brief, please emphasize that we will start and end on time.  Be sure they allow enough time to park and get to the dining hall.

If you have last minute changes (additions, cancellations) to your guest list, please get them to the Scout Service Center on Monday, August 29.

The morning of the event:

Plan to arrive no later than 7:00 am – that’s thirty minutes before the official start time to meet and greet your guests.  The staff and board members will be there at 6:45 so don’t worry about being the first one there.

Find an Assistant Senior patrol Leader for instructions or the special table marked “Patrol Leader Sign-In” to pick up your packet.

Go into the Dining Hall to locate your table.  Your name will be displayed somewhere on your table.

Greet your guests as they arrive.   Transition them into the room by making introductions, inviting them to examine the items on the table, etc.

Enjoy the program!

Near the end of the program, ______________, will let you know from the podium when to pass out the pledge cards and envelopes.  Please wait for those instructions – do not do it early!  Set an example for your guests by filling out your own pledge card at that time.

At the end of the breakfast, be sure to collect the completed pledge cards and envelopes and replace them in the packet envelope.

Return your packet to ______________ before you leave the dining hall.  We will be counting up the contributions immediately following the event and want to be sure to include all the tables.
