Race To Cub Scouting!
2006 Fall Recruitment Program

This fall we are excited to announce a new fall membership plan called “Race to Scouting.” This is a national recruiting plan campaign that will be supported by advertising and other promotions. It is important that every unit take advantage of this campaign and have a great fall recruiting season. Information has been provided for you at the Blast Off Roundtable in August. If you did not attend the August Roundtable, please contact your District Executive to receive this important information.

Get the important dates on your calendar and start planning for what your unit will do to showcase Scouting for youth in your area. These dates are recommended for all Districts to use to maximize the media coverage that has been arranged to promote our recruitment drive!

Drive for Five
We will again be offering free Pinewood Derby cars to all youth registered prior to October 31.  We will also give out free Pinewood Derby cars to all registered members of units that exceed last year's membership (as of 12/31/05) by five boys by October 31, 2006.

We really need your help to make all these opportunities happen. Every Pack  needs to participate in this program to make it successful.

• September 1-21 --Race to Cub Scouting Recruitment at all Elementary Schools
  Application Turn in parties for all districts
• October 31 -- Drive for Five deadline
