Unit Commissioners,

There are a lot of changes coming up this year and being informed and prepared for them will insure smooth transitions.

The Council Search committee is in the process of finding a new Scout Executive to replace Kevin Nichols. Kevin has accepted a new job in the Boston area.

We are combining districts to create a 2 district Council. This will create changes at the District Committee level but shouldn't affect much at the Unit Commissioner level. We will be activating the Assistant District Commissioner position to support the District Commissioner and Unit Commissioners in the new expanded Districts.

I'm excited about these changes and all of the possiblities that they bring and I'm looking forward to working with all of you this year to help make these changes a positive experience for everyone.
