We are fast approaching Spring Conclave set for May 1-3rd and very few Troops have scheduled, let alone completed, an election for our centennial year. The Lodge would like to make a push to have a great increase in members for this year. We are excited to have our Spring Conclave at Charles L. Sommer’s Canoe Base near Ely again this spring. Registration is on the website and the price is right! Whether you attend to do your Ordeal, your Brotherhood or just for fun and fellowship, this is the place to be and we look forward to seeing you! Don’t forget your work gloves, boots and clothes as this is a “Cheerful Service” weekend. For Ordeal candidates, your weekend may seem pricier, but you are getting your new sash, other materials for new members of the OA, and your dues are paid through December 2016!

Elections for positions in each chapter and on the Lodge Executive Committee will happen at Spring Conclave. All positions are open and nominees are encouraged to run. Positions include, chapter chief, chapter vice chief, Treasurer, vice chief of chapters, vice chief of administration, vice chief of program and lodge chief. If you are interested in any position talk with your unit leader and if you have any questions reach out to anLEC member or chapter chief. We want you on our team to make this a great Centennial year for the Order and for our Lodge.

2015 is theOrder of the ArrowExternal Link’s 100th anniversary and Ka’niss Ma’ingan’s 20th birthday. To celebrate the year a new line of patches have been produced and will only be available this year. The Ka’niss 20th anniversary patch is for sale at the Council office and in our trading post for $5 along with the NOAC 100th anniversary patch for the same price. Make sure your get these patches early, with the number of out of Council and collector sales they are going fast, so make sure you get yours now.

Northern Tier High Adventure Base, Philmont Scout Ranch, Florida National Sea Base and the The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve each offer high adventure opportunities to Arrowmen. Each of these special treks is designed to challenge and inspire Arrowmen to push themselves and grow as leaders and as individuals.

OA Trail Crew at Philmont is a two week program where Arrowmen 16-20 can go to Philmont Scout Ranchin New Mexico and spend a week building trails followed by a weeklong trek that the crew designs forthemselves. For only $250!

OA Wilderness Voyage and OA Canadian Odyssey at Northern Tier in Minnesota/Ontario are two weekprograms where Arrowmen aged 16-20 can paddle around the Boundary Waters and Quetico parks,You will spend the first week repairing portage trails throughout the forest followed by a week of paddling in the best canoe area in the world.

OA Ocean Adventure is a 10 day adventure for Arrowmen between the ages of 16-20 at the Florida SeaBase where Arrowmen spend part of their trip camping and doing conservation work throughout theFlorida Keys followed by 5 days aboard a 42’ sail boat cruising around the keys.

OA Summit Experience is an 8 day adventure for Arrowmen aged 14-18 at the Summit Bechtel ScoutReservation in West Virginia. Arrowmen will spend the first 4 days building mountain bike trails andhiking trails around the Summit. Followed by a 4 day Summit Sampler where Arrowmen can gowhitewater rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, and going down zip lines.

OA High Adventure is a great opportunity for Arrowmen to make new friends, overcome newchallenges, take time in personal reflection, and experience the incredible sights and sounds of natureall at an unbeatable price that is only available to Arrowmen. So if you are planning on sitting around thehouse all summer of if you’ve earned every merit badge available at summer camp then consider doing

Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at the Council office at 10 A.M. The LEC is made up of the youth leaders of the Lodge. Lodge Chief, Vice Chiefs, Treasurer, Secretary and the Chiefs of each of the chapters that make up the Lodge. These meetings are open to any Arrowmen who is interested in the workings of the Lodge. (NOTE: May LEC happens at Spring Conclave)
