Camp Horace Johnson Reopened Thanks to Volunteers

At the beginning of March, it was found that trespassers had entered the cabin at Camp Horace Johnson and extensively vandalized the building. Six full fire extinguishers were expelled into the building.

After consultation from a local fire crew, it was discovered that clean up could be completed without professional assistance. Last Saturday, April 12, a group of five volunteers, led by Jim Belden spent hours deep cleaning the cabin in order to make it usable again.

The Voyageurs Area Council would like to thank Jim Belden, John Werner, Candy Werner, Jerry Pybas, and Tom Meyer for their work to restore the cabin.
