Make Your Mark – Angels for a Cause

On February 9, 2013 at 11 a.m., people will gather at the University of Minnesota-Duluth to break the Guinness Book of World Record’s standard for the most snow angels made simultaneously.    This event is called "Make Your Mark", which is organized by the Rotary Club of Duluth 25 and Proctor DECA, who share the goal to raise money for clean drinking water.

1.1 billion people live without clean drinking water.  Every day, millions of women and children are forced to walk hours to the nearest swamp or pond to fetch water that isn't necessarily clean.  Living next to the world’s largest source of fresh water, Lake Superior, we can’t imagine the struggles these people face every day.

A free-will donation of $5 per person or $10 per family will be asked of participants to help bring clean water to thousands of people.  You can purchase your ticket online at www.makeyourmarkduluth.comExternal Link.  By purchasing online you will automatically be entered to win $1,000 cash.

Gates will open at 9:30 a.m..  Be one of 9,000 people to break the record, which is currently held by North Dakota with 8,963 snow angels.  Help Duluth break this record and give back to an important cause, bringing clean water to the Hamar people of Ethiopia
