Powder Horn 2012

Northern Star Council, Boy Scouts of America is offering a unique outdoor/high adventure resource management course called Powder Horn. Powder Horn is a high adventure resource management course of the Boy Scouts of America. It helps Scout leaders learn how to safely conduct fun and challenging outdoor activities, provides an introduction to the resources needed for a successful high adventure program and a basic understanding of what is involved in different high adventure disciplines.  

This course is called Powder Horn and is open to any registered adult including Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Sea Scout and Venturing Leaders. It is also open to youth age 15+ if holding unit, district or council youth leadership position or 16+ in not in a leadership position. 

The course will give all participants an opportunity to experience the many different outdoor/high adventure activities. It will also provide local resources necessary to successfully participate in these activites in several ways. Check out the brochure for complete details.

Consultants who may or may not be Scouters, but who are experts in these activities will be the instructors. No one has to do any activity in which they feel uncomfortable.
