The Central Minnesota Council is hosting the second and final, Ripley Rendezvous "all hands" planning meeting:

                                Saturday, April 2

                                10:30 am - 12:30 pm  (lunch served)

Scout Service Center - 1191 Scout Drive - Sartell

This meeting will consist of the event virtual walk- through....essentially taking a Troop from arrival to departure.  The goal is to communicate to all the flow of events and the importance of each volunteer role.  There will be question/answer opportunity.  All volunteers are encouraged to attend, so please pass the word.

We are receiving many inquiries from Troop leaders and expect the on line registration to pick up considerably in the next couple weeks.  In 2007 we served 10,600 people and hope we will hit the 8,000 mark this year.

My goal for participating councils Twin Valley, Gamehaven, Northern Lights and Voyageur is the following:

1.        4 or 5 shooting sports enthusiasts with range certifications

2.       5  hands on activities for the Action Center

3.       1 or 2 to help at sub camp registration

4.       Any climbing helmets, harnesses that can be borrowed for the weekend (trained climbing instructors, too)

This promises to be a great event, our best ever Ripley Rendezvous.  The National Guard is involved big time so .take advantage.  Maybe this can help with Webelos transition.

Contact Grant Forsyth if you would like to represent the Voyageurs Area Council on the Ripley Rendezvous Staff.
