The Voyageurs Area Council pursues a vision of a premier youth organization, striving to improve the operation and quality of the programs we provide for youth in Northern Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin and Gogebic County of Michigan. We view the strategic plan as a dynamic process, changing each year to adjust to a changing and progressively more challenging environment, but built on a consistent base of our vision and mission.  This five-year plan creates a focus on five high level goals including:  enhancing the effectiveness of council and district leadership, supporting and supplementing quality unit programs through program support, growing our membership through outreach programs and extending programs to under-served areas, communicating the values of Scouting through a focused marketing plan, and insuring financial stability through sound fiscal development.  The format is organized around the major benchmark issues considered vital to the continued success of the Boy Scout movement.
