Over the past two days the BSA has been sending a “Voice of the Scout” survey to randomly selected Boy Scouts over the age of 13; Venturers; council and district volunteers; youth facing volunteers; and Cub Scout and Boy Scout parents.  These are customer satisfaction survey questions that the BSA is testing to determine which elements of the program drive customer engagement and loyalty.   This will then be used as a customer satisfaction measure that can be included in the JTE dashboard. (each of these surveys went to 10,000 randomly selected youth, parents, or volunteers)

Because of the security breach at Epsilon, many volunteers are worried that this is a phishing scam.  If the e-mail comes from the Boy Scouts of America, with a Boy Scout logo on the header, Voice of the Scout in the subject line, and has Pat Wellen in the body of the e-mail – then you can be assured that it came from the BSA research department.
