Value of a Volunteer

The Boy Scouts of America is an organization that depends primarily on volunteers: from a local council’s den leaders, Scoutmasters, unit committee members, and president to area volunteers to National Executive Board members.

All of these volunteers spend countless hours each year ensuring that the BSA’s youth members develop self-confidence and the necessary leadership skills to become responsible members of their communities. What is the value of your local council volunteers? According to the Independent Sector , the estimated value of a volunteer’s time for 2012 is $22.14 an hour.
