Biography

Ted has been involved with Scouting off and on since 1970.  He earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1972.  Attended the 1973 National Jamboree East. Served as Summer Camp Chaplain at Camp Cuyuna in 1989 and was Scoutmaster of Troop 82 & 23 in Bemidji for one year.

Ted is Wood Badge trained (C-02-05, Fox Patrol) and served on staff twice (C-03-07 as a Troop Guide & C-04-09 as a Scribe).

He has attended both National Leadership Seminar (NLS) and National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar (NLATS) with Order of the Arrow (OA) in 2006. On October 16, 2009 completed his Vigil Honors in OA. Jan. 8, 2011 Ted received the Founders Award; the highest National award  the lodge can give out.

Ted has received the Training Award, Commissioner Key, District Committee Key, God & Service Award, Distinguish Commissioner Service Award, Community Service Award, and District Award of Merit.  He is a 2010 recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest National award  the Council can give out.

Currently he is serving as Associate Lodge Adviser with Ka'Niss Ma'Ingan Lodge; Northern Trails District member-at-large, Unit Commissioner, Charter Organizational Rep for Troop 187 Askov, MN and Venturing Crew #187 Sandstone, MN.
